Thursday and Friday, on 19 and 20 October, was an exciting time for the trade fair for information professionals in Belgium, known as ‘Informatie aan Zee.’ The renowned Kursaal in Ostend was the scene of the congress organised by VVBAD, which brought together librarians, archivists and documentalists. Of course, ekz Benelux was also present at this great event.
Home-Grown Innovation
The local innovation we exhibited attracted a tremendously positive response. Potential customers, existing customers and new faces dropped by to discuss the latest developments and discover what ekz Benelux can do for them. The busy schedules of Jos van Zundert, Björn Huiskamp and Marc de Lange testified to the success of this exhibition for ekz Benelux.
Live View: the New Generation of Security Gates
One of the highlights of our presence was the first public display outside the Netherlands of the ekz Detection Antennas PGX. The striking, timeless and transparent design immediately attracted attention, while the outstanding detection capabilities impressed the attendees.
Hublet: the Tablet Solution
Another first at the ekz Benelux stand was the Hubleta system that makes two tablets available to customers in a user-friendly way. Rachel Spiekermann of Hublet was present to provide interested parties with demonstrations of the versatile possibilities Hublet has to offer.
OpenBIB, the Solution to Open Your Library Unmanned
Interest in OpenBIB,, another innovative solution offered by ekz Benelux, was also striking. Many (potential) customers showed a strong interest in the possibilities of opening their library outside regular opening hours. Using OpenBIB, it becomes possible to welcome customers at times such as Saturday afternoons, Sundays or during extra evening openings.
‘Informatie aan zee’ was a great opportunity for us to share our enthusiasm for innovation and customer-centric solutions with like-minded industry professionals. We look forward to continuing the discussions and helping more organisations benefit from the cutting-edge solutions we have to offer.
